Sorry,

i am not sure 100% but probably this song is a little bit older,

i think is written and edited in 1976 (the year of Friuli big earthquake), i think to find it into the album "Fuarce Friul".

This hymn and also the football club, that in 1978 comes back in "serie A" from italian third division, are very important for the resurection of our region, they help us into the tragedy, in that time we were really all togheter, we were all brothers, it was a terrible and unforgettable experience.

Also the stadium with the charateristic arc is a symbol of a renaissance, and also the stadium begins his history in 1976.

Sorry for my poor english.

Hey mate how you doing?
Happy to see that a "bro" from England has joined our site.
If I can give you a piece of advice just drop google translator, it's awful and personally I can't stand it. Just write in english, it'll be fine, lot's of bros here have no problem with your language and for those who have it, someone will translate.
Keep it up my friend. Go Watford! :rulez:

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments.

yes, Google translate is rubbish. I tried a few times but it made even less sense that what I finally posted!

Kurtz - your English is very good. I'm always a little embarrassed at how poorly the English speak other languages compared to they way you know English.

I hadn't realised there was such a history and tragedy behind the song and region. It's great when football can help bring a community together like that.

We have Elton John as a fan but strangely no club song.

Don't worry, Google Translate is better than nothing XD
At least, we all understood your thoughts :) no problem if not perfectly translated ;)

Yes, the Friuli region had some heavy problems years ago, but all we started from a tragedy, transforming it to an opportunity to create a better future.

In Italy sometimes an earthquake make victims and destroy cities, cutting their future.
Other times (like Friuli region) it's a boost.

In 1976 (the year of the terrible earthquake that devastated all the Friuli region) I not existed (I'm born in 1978) but my father, my mother and all their friends survived, started the rebuilding with a strong spirit.

We should preserve that (spiritual) legacy.

Dave, if you come in Friuli, I would advise you to go to Gemona.
Is a little town where the earthquake was much stronger. The people of this town have built again the houses, the buildings and the church exactly like they was before the tragedy. There is, now, a very beautiful exhibition of photograph. The better photo for me, is one about two little children that read a book, i think the sister read a story for the little brother, in between the the rubble of the devastated town.
I think in that photo there is the soul of the friuli!

Sinceramente?

Oddio :afraid:

La prima mi ricorda certi pessimi cantautori italiani :look:

La seconda è una via di mezzo tra una canzone del catechismo, e l'inno di "Forza Italia" :< :X

Grazie comunque per l'impegno, Elì
