Frost Enterprise's had finally gotten their permanent HQ established on Terra Alpha, the large 30 story building sat in the center of the Frost Complex, with the Research and Development building just to it's left and MicroFrost Software sitting just to it's right in smaller, ten story buildings. Spread out now from the main HQ were the Dilithium Refineries; taking up several acres of land in massive buildings that stood 4 stories high and ran 4 stories under ground. They were busy producing refined Dilithium now and the first shipment to Starbase Byron had already been sent out; and reports back from the base and ships it had been distributed too were good. Now Elizabetta sat in her office; staring out her eastern window and watched as the new Deuterium Refineries were being built just miles from the Dilithium Refineries. It was an expansion they had discovered to be necessary; as the Federation had recently cut off all Deuterium suppliers to Terra Alpha, leaving them without away to produce fuel for their ships and bases....well, until Frost Enterprises decided to start refining it themselves. They had just purchased rights to gather deuterium gasses from Klingon, Romulan, and Tholian space in return for discounted pricing on software purchased by the Governments through MircoFrost. Of course; MicroFrost was designing software specific to those Governments and keeping them separate from each other and from the software being developed for AlphaTek and Terra Alpha...to ensure the balance of power was not tipped or given to any one 'ally'. Looking at her watch, Elizabetta smirked and got to her feet, today was the first inspection day for the R&D department...she would see what progresses had or had not been made as well as oversee any improvements to the building and crew safety that needed to be made. Getting up, she walked to the closet and grabbed her labcoat, and then headed over to the R&D building to meet with her Lead Researcher. "I see things look to be running well so far." she said quietly, so as not to startle t'Dharvanek as she approached. |

"Better than I expected really," Jadzia commented without looking over at her visitor, her eyes still trained on the crystal she was manipulating inside a magnetic containment field. "First few shattered before I got this far, but this one looks pretty promising. Color is not what I expected though. The damn thing is hot pink." |

That surprised Elizabetta, "Hot pink..." she murmured, "Might have to tell the engineers to wear shades when dealing with it.' she smirked. |

"No kidding. I knew it wouldn't be clear, like the natural stuff, but I expected light blue. Maybe purple. Not pink." |

"Well that's certainly interesting." she said, "How far into the matrix establishment are you?" |

"Maybe halfway. Hard to tell, really, but... so far the structure seems pretty solid. We only have it in containment because the first one that shattered? Cut a few of us up when it blew. Not a performance I want to see repeated." |

"Oh yeah, safety is definitely a priority with that." she nodded. "Well you're definitely making some good strides if you've gotten it this far and it's still stable. Good work." |

"Thanks." Jadzia grinned, putting the crystal into stasis. "So, what can I do for you?" |

"Well, we're scheduled for a debrief and inspection tour of the facilities." she said with a half smile. "I know it's inconvenient, but with the sabotage at other plants, I want to be safe." |

"It's never really a good time," she admitted, glancing over at Jadzia apologetically. |

"No, it's really not." Jadzia grinned though, clearly not minding all that much. "You'll have to forgive us the mess... I think we have six projects ongoing in this room alone, and some of my employees have spilled coffee and food everywhere. You know engineer types... they don't clean anything up." |

She chuckled a bit, "Yes I know..which is why I've purchased 10 cleaning drones from AlphaTek for the department." she told her, handing over a small tablet that had several pages of information on it. "They'll be arriving by the end of the week." |

"Thank you! No really, I appreciate it. Fell twice yesterday, and they still didn't clean, the frackers." Jadzia shot a member of her research team a dirty look, and he giggled, mouthing 'sorry' at her. |

"Gotta keep you and everyone else safe." she smirked, daintily stepping over a banana peel and shooting the engineer's a look that spoke volumes, "I'm not a slapstick comedian...get this stuff picked up!" she said loud enough for the other's to hear as they moved on. "Also, lunch breaks are being extended to an hour and a half..I've noticed an increase in tardiness in some of your people returning to work after lunch." |
