“Ah.” he stood up. “But you will have to catch me first.”

"You say that like you think I can't do it." She got up from the floor, giving him a wary look as if she was afraid he was suddenly going to run off. "I don't think anyone here would understand if I did chase you across the Promenade."

“I thought you have learned by now. I don't care what people think of me in that manner.” With that he took off laughing as he did so.

"Seriously?!" He was faster than she'd expected, already out of the ship before she'd realized he was leaving. But if that was the game he wanted to play, she'd indulge him for a while. Even if it meant there would be rumors. So she followed him, not really making any significant effort to catch him.

“Is that all you got miss slowpoke!” he called back to her, he might regret it later, but he decided if he wanted to truly have fun with her, he would have to force her to pick up the pace. So he released some of the locked strength in his leg muscles, picking up speed as he did so. He dodged the people on the promenade, his mind calculating prejecturies and angles to best dodge and turn in order to keep up the speed.

Okay, fine. We'll play it your way. While he was doing that, she probably wouldn't catch him, but she might be able to get close enough to catch him once his extra power ran out. He couldn't run like that forever... and her oxygen needs were lower than his. As she sped up to close the gap, she grinning a little, suspecting that he was unaware how long she could keep this game up if she wanted to.

He grinned, going strait out would only be troublesom, so when there was enough people around he made a very sharp turn and took a seat on one of the many benches that lined the promenade and in the same move he picked up a large Terra Alpha hat from the display, placed it on his head and faked that he was a drunk, sleeping his alcohol away from his system.

When she reached the point where she'd seen him turn, Clio stopped, looking around for him and waiting for her breathing to stabilize again. She hadn't done any serious running since leaving Earth, and he'd forced her nearly to a sprint just to be close enough to watch him. How the hell is he so fast and where did he go? Wondering if he'd ducked into a shop, she headed the direction she'd seen him go, ignoring what looked like a sleeping drunk on a bench near the hat shop. A few feet past him, she stopped and looked back. His neck was in the hat's shadow, but if she looked carefully... she could just barely see a set of Trill spots...

He looked up to see how far she had gone before he noticed her looking at him. “Oops.” he grinned and hurried off the bench, tossing the hat over his shoulder that landed easily on the spot where he had taken it.

This time, he didn't have as much of a head start, and she was ready for him to dart away. She sprinted after him, slowly closing the short space he'd created by taking off first. Soon she was well within reach, and as soon as there was a clear area on the promenade, she pounced on him like a cat, tackling him to the deck with a gleeful grin.

"Probably could if I really wanted to. But I'd probably hurt you doing it..."

“Is that a challenge?” he grabbed her arms to pull her closer, his eyes staring in to hers, totally ignoring the crowd who was forming around them.

"It wasn't intended as one, but I suppose it's open to interpretation." The gathering crowd was getting a little too close, despite her efforts to ignore them. "Maybe we should find a more... private place."
