"What happened to talking when the pain is gone?" Zerna responded through the link. |

When she heard him respond telepathically rather than verbally, Clio became puzzled, frowning slightly. The only one who'd been able to bypass the blocker was Peach, and that was only because of the piloting bond they shared. As far as she knew, she didn't share anything like that with Zerna... but she had linked with him during the chase to re-capture Bell and Bruno. I forgot to close this, didn't I? Well, if you want to use it to talk, that's fine. If not, I should probably close it down. Might explain why I've been a little more tired than usual. |

”Go ahead and close it, ones you are done in the tank I'll be waiting.” he responded back, this time over the intercomn. |

Okay. Now that she could 'see' the link again, it was a simple thing to close the small portal. How a direct telepathic link could bypass the theta wave blocker was a mystery to her, but it was one that could be solved later. She retreated fully into the tank room, finding that not only was the tank ready but a towel and the ear plugs from her first visit to the tank rested on a small table nearby. She wasn't sure who had set them aside, but at least she wouldn't have to go around looking for anything. She felt a little strange using the tank when they had been so angry with each other recently. Somehow it didn't feel 'right' to take advantage of it, even if Zerna had insisted. She wasn't sure, but it almost seemed like he felt guilty that she'd gotten hurt. It didn't really make any sense to her; after the fight, she'd seen that the scar ran down her face in the same way that Mrs. Jara's did, likely from the same attacker. Realizing that she would never fully understand the strange workings of Zerna's mind, she shrugged off the feeling. She knew by now that if he wanted her to do something and she refused, he'd force her somehow, and as fun as dropping her into the tank might be for him she didn't think it sounded like much of a party herself. Once she entered the tank and the warm gel touched the side of her face, any thought of how it might be wrong to use Zerna's inventions fled. Curious as to how the scar might look after only one treatment, she touched the faded circular scar at the base of her skull. While its edges were smooth and the unusual itching and tingling it occasionally caused was gone, there was still a slight raised area where the needle had entered the base of her brain. It had been an old scar, but she suspected the damage to her face was more than the tank could handle in one healing cycle. I bet Zerna knows that too. Sneaky bastard that he is. You should not call him names if you want him to be nice. Clio rolled her eyes. Go away. I'm sleeping. You seem awake to me. Go away anyway. Though Peach had a point, Clio wasn't willing to acknowledge it... yet. The young bioship's new friendship with Zerna was interesting but strange. She'd never thought they'd even get along, let alone talk on their own. And just what was he building out there anyway, she wondered. She shifted slightly in the tank, the gel tightening under her weight until she stopped moving... and then she sat up, looking down at the gel. He asked what kind of gel to use. He's building a tank! With the pain having faded to little more than an irritating memory and her curiosity piqued, Clio clambered out of the tank and grabbed the towel, wrapping it around herself before going to the door to open it for a moment. "You want something thick, but as pure as you can make it. She heals herself, so a healing component isn't necessary unless she takes some serious hull damage... and I should probably go put my clothes back on." |

He smiled. “Where you spying on my work Miss Clio?” he teased, he had already considered that, but he didn't know what kind of chemical makeup would feel best for her. Since her hull was like very hard skin, maybe have it a little more creamy too, Maybe have some kind of high powered cleaning area where she could clean knocks and crannies of her hull. |

Clio smiled a little. "Not this time, no. Just connecting the dots... I saw your PADD with information on the Leviathans, you wondered aloud about the gel, and then I noticed in the tank that the gel responds to how I move. And you seem very interested in Peach lately, which is a little out of character for you. A week ago, you didn't even like her. And now you're calling her by her name. I'm a little confused, actually." |

“Perfect.” he laughed lightly. “You think I would ever give up the secrets of my mind?” |

Clio snorted at him. "Of course not. I've been in your mind and I don't know how it works." |

“And you probably never will, but you are forgetting to shower though. Would get very sticky in your cloths if you don't get the gel off.” |

"...yeah I should do that." Now that he'd mentioned it, she could feel the gel starting to dry on her skin. "I'll be back in a few minutes." Maybe you should invite him, Peach commented mischievously as she sensed that Clio was leaving Zerna behind. Shut up, Peach. Trying to ignore Peach's commentary on the situation, Clio set the towel on the bench outside the shower and turned the water on, allowing it to warm up to a more comfortable temperature. What? You have seen him naked. Would it not be fair if he saw you? He has. Not like that. You were covered in the gel. And this time you had a towel. Peach paused. The suit doesn't count either. Why do you even care? Clio found herself wondering if raising children was half as annoying as raising Peach could occasionally be as she went inside the shower to wash the gel off. Because it amuses me that you like each other but do not want to be near each other. Humanoids are strange. You're strange, Clio retorted, trying to rinse the gel out of her hair. And a distraction. Cut it out. Okay, Peach replied cheerfully, agreeably retreating. And do not go talk to Zerna! Clio added as Peach retreated away from her. Some days, she really wondered why she had agreed to raise and care for the lost bioship. Knowing that Peach was not likely to obey her, she hurriedly finished her shower and dried off to get dressed. Once dressed she couldn't find the hairbrush she kept on the shelf and simply ran her fingers through her hair to straighten it out as she went back out to join Zerna again. "Ignore anything the crazy bioship says." |

“Isn't she very young for her species? So why do you act like you are surprised?” he placed the PADD on the console. “So how do you feel?” |

"She's never acted this way before, but she is still pretty young. And I feel a lot better now, thank you." |

“Good, no pain I hope.” he swiveled the chair around to face her. “You look much better, a little redness where the wound would be. May I see?” |
