The young bioship's frantic acrobatic maneuvering near Terra Alpha's sun had drawn a lot of attention. There had been chatter over the intership comms speculating on what Summer Peach was doing, but no one had seen what prompted the odd behavior. However, when the young ship suddenly flipped over and ran for the station, it didn't take much thinking to connect what few dots were there. She'd stopped watching at that point to go over to the station and find out for herself what was going on, but on the way she'd heard the rumor... that some version of Aglaia had suffered some kind of accident, leaving her pilot in sickbay. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who it was, not with the green Aglaia-B safely docked inside the Guardian Angel. When she reached the sickbay she knew they'd take him to, she ignored Selene and Mac for now. Neither of them had noticed anyone coming behind them, but as she'd suspected her younger counterpart was there. She pulled the younger woman away from them - nearly to the other side of the bay where they couldn't see what was happening around Zerna's bed - and pushed her into a chair. "Tell me what happened." Clio shook her head, still looking across the bay to where Zerna was. "I don't know. He came up here to get Aglaia... to bring her down to the house..." "Don't look at him. Look at me." "Look, you might be some version of me from some distant future, but--" She tapped the other woman's shoulder, earning herself a withering glare. "If you're thinking of trying to fight your way past me and go hover over him getting in the way, you're not exactly in any shape to do so. So sit still and tell me what you know." Rubbing her sore shoulder, Clio gave her older self a scowl. "All I know is I was talking with Peach and she took off like a madwoman toward the sun yelling something about Aglaia being hurt." She hesitated, blinking a few times as she continued trying to look to the other side of the bay. "We found him outside. I don't know if we got there in time." |

Selene was well aware of Clio's presence behind her and the sudden presence of another individual she just didn't care. Her gaze was fixed on Jernal's bed as the doctors worked. She knew that they probably weren't going to be able to save him but she hoped they could. It was stupid, she knew, but Jernal had once been hers. She hadn't known then whether she loved him or not but now she thought she just might have. It was unfortunate their relationship hadn't worked out an that now they were only friends but she had no desire to have him completely out of her life and death was just to final. "What are you doing?" Mac whispered as she saw Selene grab a hypo-syringe while no one was watching them. "I can save him." She whispered as she pushed up the sleeve of her shirt, thankful for once that she wasn't wearing her suit. She took a quick look around the room to make sure no one was watching them and they weren't everyone was so focused on trying to save Jernal and she and Mac had been forgotten. She pressed the device to her skin and began to fill it with her blood. "How is that going to save him?" Mac inquired as the device filled and Selene removed it. "Don't worry about it." Selene said as she removed the vial and slipped it into her pocket and returned the device exactly where it had been only moments before. Mac was still rather confused but she had learned that sometimes you just had to trust her. "Okay so what do we need to do?" Mac inquired. "The moment no one is around I'm going to give it to him." Selene replied, matter of fact. "And you want me to do what?" Mac asked, letting her confusion show in her voice. "Nothing," Selene replied simply. |

"I saw that. Don't touch my tools... I don't care who you are. I'll kick you out if you don't behave." Somehow, they'd started Jernal's heart and gotten him breathing. It was shaky ground, but it was better than when he'd come in. "I need potassium iodide and Prussian blue... old-fashioned, but it still works. The burns can wait... setting the bone is more imp--" Before Gazelle finished asking for the equipment she needed, the readout panel interrupted with a long, flat tone. "Damn it, not again... Marcia, go find that old electric paddle system. I hate the thing, but it just might be what we need." As she spoke, she injected Zerna with the second vial of cordrazine and sent another jolt through the cortical stimulator. |

"Sorry," Mac said quietly like she had been the reason Selene had touched the device, going with the impression that the doctor had only seen Selene replace the device. As if she had taken it from Mac like a child who played with something they shouldn't have been. Selene simply crossed her arms and gave Mac a stern look before turning her attention back to Jernal, watching and waiting for her chance to slip in.

At the unmistakable sound of the 'flatline' tone coming from the readout panel, Clio inhaled sharply and scrambled up out of the chair she'd been placed in, sending the older copy of herself sprawling across the deck. One of the nurses blocked her path, and when she tried to dodge the blockade, she crashed headlong into Selene and ended up clinging to her to keep from falling. The approaching nurse left her there, as if assuming she would stay put. And she did... for now. |

Selene was caught off guard as Clio crashed into her but she managed to keep them both on their feet. She was surprised to see the woman so shaken but she had heard that she and Jernal had been spending a lot of time together. As for the other rumors she hadn’t believed them, similar rumors had been spreading about her and Clint for some time and all they had done was go to dinner. But as she looked into the woman’s eyes all doubt about what she was planning to do evaporated. “He’ll make it…I promise.” Selene replied as she held the other woman and watched on. |

Clint arrived in the sickbay when he heard of the situation, the fact Zerna's ship and that rare Cervan bioship were involved, he was understandably concerned and also because even though he wasn't Jernal's biggest fan, he was still a friend to Selene and the fact also that Selene was there... "What's the situation? Will he live?" Clint asked Clio and Selene, "Are those ships secure?" he looked at Jernal on the biobed and then at Selene. "I'm sorry..." |

"Anything I can do to help... other than getting you two out of Dr. Girabaldi's way?" Clint said as he caught the glare from the Doctor and Nurse. "Best thing I've heard out of any of your mouths since you arrived." Marcia said as she handed Gazelle the tools and meds she requested. Clint whispered to Selene, "Why do you have this look... like you have a plan?" |

She nodded but had a nagging feeling that when everything was said and done he wouldn't feel the same. It pained her almost as much as letting Jernal die when she had a way to save him. Selene couldn't help but wonder what would happen when they discovered what she did. In her reality,as an augment, if you didn't tote the Imperium line they would put you down. No questions, no discussion, and nothing. They would send someone like her to take them out and she wondered if it would be the same here. The human's history with dealing with augments was colorful but then again so were their actions and they tended to judge them all the same, mostly out of fear. They had Khan to thank for that in both realities. Expect in her's they practically worshiped him in this one they feared him and those like him. She'd simply have to wait and see. She knew what she was getting herself into and there was a life at stake. If she had learned anything since coming to Terra Alpha it was to look out for those you cared about. Family first, duty second, and then everyone else and no matter what you help those who need it no matter how big or small their need. |

"I want to stay here." Gazelle's withering 'get out' look had little effect on her after dealing with it for such extended periods. "That is not a good idea. Let go of Selene." Mrs. Jara carefully pried Clio's fingers off of Selene's arm, barely flinching when the other woman's death grip transferred to her arm instead. "Why don't we go with Mister Cross and find somewhere to sit down?" Clio shook her head, trying to pull away. "No." "Damn it, would you just get her out of here already? She doesn't need this stress." Even as Gazelle 'requested' that they leave, the 'flatline' siren went off again. She rolled her eyes, resorting to the electric paddles instead. "I said get her out of here!" "No! Zerna!" Clio struggled against the gentle restraint the older copy of her provided, clawing at the other woman's hands. "Let go of me!" "We're leaving," Mrs. Jara said quietly. "One of you get a sedative from one of the nurses. I think we'll need one to get her to leave." |

"Clio," Selene said as she gently touched the woman's shoulder hoping to calm her just enough so that she would leave. "He will make it." Selene continued in a knowing tone and nodded at Clint so that he would go with them and then to Mac. Mac wasn't as willing to give into the silent command she issues a silent protest of her own. She knew Selene was up to something she just didn't know exactly what she was going to do or how she thought it was going to help. |

The siren stopped as Selene spoke, lending some credence to her words. "If he dies..." Behind her, Mrs. Jara snorted in obvious amusement despite the grim situation. "You can barely stand on your own. I don't think she's too scared of you." "She damn well better be." "LEAVE!" Gazelle growled at them, looking like she might start throwing her medical tools at them if they didn't obey. |
