Several members of the crew pelted her with questions as soon as she'd returned to the ship, but she ignored them and eventually just pushed them away by increasing the level of telepathic pressure she exerted on them. It didn't take long to find her husband, and she knew looking at him that he'd already heard the rumors. "I don't know what you've heard. But I'd wager most of it's at least based in truth..." She sighed, coming close but not close enough to touch him. "They're both badly hurt, both ships are damaged - Aglaia likely beyond repair - and Jernal.... might not make it. They don't know yet. And yes, I know. All of this is our fault. Spare me the lecture on that please."

The look on Jara's face said it all, he was quite angry and like his wife. The crew gave him a wide birth, not because he had the same pressure around him like Clio, but because they crew knew very well to leave him alone when he was angry. Something they had learned early on. "Spare you the lecture? Hah! If Carley was here I would have pulled her over my lap and spanked her! This is what happens when you mess with the timeline. You say you know, but do you know what he was doing out there?" he asked, he knew very well what he was doing. |

"No, I don't. And she doesn't either. All she could tell me was he came up here to get Aglaia... didn't know anything about why he was staring at the sun or what happened to Aglaia. And quit giving me that look! Someone had to go see if she was all right and you sure as hell weren't going to do it." |

"I'll tell you what he did. Do you remember what I chose as our second date after the dinner?" he knew that the younger him was looking for a spectacular view and he knew that today was one of the few times the sun would give out a particularly nasty solar flare. He knew that Jernal would beef up the shielding to deal with any flares, but they had moved ahead several months in getting together. He wouldn't have had the chance to beef up the shields. |

"Second date? I wasn't aware they'd gone on a first one yet... but of course I remember. We took Aglaia up close to Terra Alpha's sun. Watched it. Listened to its song for a while..." She paused, realizing just then what he'd been doing. "...and beforehand you went to see which 'side' of the sun was the prettiest. I don't know if he's dumber than you or just more of a hopeless romantic." |

"Probably both. But you will never forget about it. This accident is proof that they have most likely gone on that first date. Probably the younger you who took the command... As usual." Even in his anger, he could always find a way to tease his wife. |

"I didn't ask. But having known you at that age, I'd say she didn't have a choice." She had to smirk a little, despite what had happened. "Our sensors were blocked by the solar flare... all we picked up was Peach coming out of nowhere to save them. But I can guess what happened. Aglaia was way too close to the star and got hit by the flare. Lost power, probably breached her hull. But I'll never know how Peach got from the planet to the sun so fast with a passenger on board. Without literally breaking said passenger in half. Her inertial dampeners just aren't that good." |

"The flare would never been able to breach the hull. Something else must have caused that level of damage." He was surprised when he was given a powerful nudge, enough to make him loose his footing slightly. "Spunky!" he exclaimed as the now massive Cave cat came in to the visual range. Over the years she had been training up her sneaking skills, walking in a special way that made the claws stay away from tapping the floor. She was now a 400 pound feline, next to her sat a small kitten, almost begging for her attention. |

"No one's been able to get inside Aglaia and find out what else happened. Peach's landing bay is open to space, and I'm not sure if she's small enough to fit in one of the station's landing bays. We may not be able to get to the frigate until Peach repairs her bay doors... one was ripped off and the other is... warped somehow. Unless we can find a way to seal her hull or get Aglaia out, we can't talk to the AI. If it's even intact anymore." |

"The pool I made for her would be perfect for her to heal in. I don't know if he has made her one. You could ask Peach, does your link reach this far?" |

"It does, but she's asleep. I don't know if she'll answer me." She prodded at the sleeping ship, hoping to get some kind of response. Peach, wake up. I need to ask you something. Go away! Peach replied angrily, annoyed that she'd been woken up. ...you are not Miss Clio. Get out! Mrs. Jara rolled her eyes. Well... technically... look, I'm not going to argue time-displacement theory with you. Do you have a landing tank on Terra Alpha? ...yes. But how do you know about that? Doesn't matter. If you roll over and descend 'upside down' very slowly can you make it there? Maybe. I do not know. Try it after your nap. Go back to sleep. She retreated, ignoring the young ship's repeated question of 'but who are you' as she did so. "She has one. And she might be able to reach it, once she's rested some more." |

"That's good. Was wreckless of her to risk her self like that." he stroked Spunky's head who was now purring with delight. |

"If she hadn't, Jernal would have died in the vacuum of space and Aglaia would have fallen into the sun and burned. I don't think I need to tell you what kind of effect that would have on Miss Eneas." |

He sighed. "In the end, this was the result of us medling with things we shouldn't have." |

"You did tell Carly that time travel was a bad idea. Our ship being here was enough to set a lot of these things in motion without our help. Granted we probably shouldn't have let Callidora run around on the planet so much, but she's eighteen. As much as I'd like for her to listen to me, she technically doesn't have to anymore." |
