The lights brightened and the unlocked locks made the vault automatically open. Inside was a cylinder made out of matt black armor plating, small cracks ran between the armor plates and they looked like they where pulsating in blue neon lights. As he approached, a pair of turrets deployed now that there was power, the more advanced guard system was back on. "Identify your self." a dark male voice said, almost as if it was made to sound like an old salty marine sergeant. "Father." he answered, he could hear the simple but effective computer work with klicking of the processor that lines the entire inside of the vault worked. "Access granted," the voice said. "Release Core programing from lock down." he commanded and the core in the middle hummed as the lights brightened as it started to come back online.

"Awesome, it's working." From where she'd come back inside, Callidora couldn't see into the vault, but she didn't really care about whatever was in there. She wanted to see if Aglaia was going to be okay.

"Catastrochic hull breach!" Aglaia said as if she had been frozen in time and wanted to inform Zerna.

"I know Aglaia, I am sorry for what happened." he lowered his head.

"What for?" Aglaia asked, the majority of her systems where damaged or destroyed, but she still had her brain and that was more then enough.

Zerna couldn't answer, he was just to painful. "I am glad you are alright."

I told you that she would not be angry with you, Peach reminded him gently. The accident was not your fault.

"As long as her neural net is intact, the rest can be repaired. Or... rebuilt. You already know she was rebuilt at one point... maybe it's a little early for that, but if we can't patch that hole..."

"No, there will be no patching. I have a new toy that I will reverse engineer. I will also need to rebuild the Aglaia from scratch to make her better. Maybe give her two Fusion reactors instead, give her a pair of Gauss-cannons, maybe a small IFA turret on top to softer targets... Phase cloak in audition to standard cloak and their capacity to pierce Cervan cloaks."

"Mom always says that's impossible because the Cervan cloak is biological not technological. But there must be a way to do it... everything has a weakness if you look close enough." After his response to hearing that she worked on the Aglaia-B with her father, she decided not to tell him whether his new Aglaia would be like the Aglaia-B or not.

"Indeed, and being biological, I think I can think of a few ways to do it..." he grinned.

"You can practice with Peach, if Miss Clio will let you."

You mean if I let him, Peach interjected.

"No, I would never experiment on a living creature. I can run theoretical tests based on the shuttle sensors. Don't worry young lady."

I do not mind helping if you ask first. But I would prefer not to be experimented on unless it is necessary.

"As I said, I will not experiment on you." Zerna said as he walked out of the core. "I will send you some data to run though later Aglaia."

"Alright." Aglaia responded, unsure what had made him like that.

I know. I was just letting you know that I will help if you really need me to. I do not think you will need to... but I will volunteer to test your finished device. Once it is finished and the risk is minimized.

"Very kind of you, but we will see how it goes." he said as he missed Callidora and headed back to the large hole in the hull.

"I'm coming, sorry. Not snooping, I swear." Callidora scrambled out through the hole in Aglaia's hull. "I was checking to make sure the connections to Aglaia's power core are secure. Sparks would hurt her as much as they would Peach."
