Mike stepped off the platform of the Transporter relay station to the planet from the station, He'd had a few marines keep talking about how 'amazing' the planet was, the sights, the landscapes, the plantlife the architecture... and... the bars, the bars that supposedly had some of the hardest stuff in the galaxy, that was what was interesting him right now, maybe something like that would help, maybe he'd just go back to how he was years ago...

Walking through the main militarized complex part of the planet he passed an academy, security HQ, soon he passed the Intelligence offices, a dark looking unmarked building, that had he realized was HI headquarters he probably would have avoided that way, and continued walking towards the non-military part of this capital center city complex he found himself in, one of the bars talked about was supposedly near to the main complexes if he overheard right, walking in the fresh air it seemed like maybe his mind was finally clearing, 'it' had happened far too many times recently, flashes of her, a sudden feeling of concern, or shadowy empathy of pain, maybe she was moonlighting as a stunt double these days? He didn't know, maybe he was just insane? that wouldn't surprise anyone, least of all him, unbalanced was a comfortable pair of blue jeans for him, but even if it was only him that remembered, or that it meant anything to in the end, the time he had her had made him a better person, maybe she knew that, maybe not, maybe it was all something he'd convinced himself and he was an old dog that couldn't learn new tricks. It really didn't matter, hell he didn't need a reason to drink, that's what bars and bad press were for

She hadn't intended to go inside the bar, let alone stay there for any length of time. If there had been somewhere else nearby to stop, she would have walked out when they insisted she buy a drink. On her way out, she set the drink they'd forced her to buy on a table as she passed by it, not looking to see if anyone was sitting there or not.

"What's a knockout like you doing in a gin joint like this?" Mike said looking up from where he was sitting at the table

"Leaving. I only came in to use the bathroom." She stopped, looking over her shoulder at the source of the voice. "You, again? I'm starting to think you're stalking me."

"Really? I was about to say it seemed you're stalking me, obvious I was here first" He said motioning to the couple glasses already on the table

"I promise you, I didn't know you were here. I was out walking and I really did only come in here to use the bathroom."

"Well as I've been told lately, my sense of humor is a little bit... broken." She glanced at the table, already covered in empty glasses. "You're doing that thing where you try to drink away all your memories, aren't you?"

"Well I can still remember so..." He shrugged "must not be working yet" He moved some glasses off to the side to clear some space and motioned to the empty seat "Do over?"

"More civil this time, maybe?" She smirked a little, knowing that the disaster at their last chat had been her fault more than his. "I can stay for a bit, but I have to head home soon. And these chairs are awful." She sat down in the indicated empty chair anyway; it was better than standing.

"Everything's uncomfortable lately, and you don't have to pretend you didn't notice."

"I noticed when you got a hangnail, and that was even without 'this'" He motioned to his head "I'd be selfish to not atleast say I'm happy for you"

"Maybe it would be selfish, but I'd understand if you weren't thrilled about it. I know it must be strange."

"I'll admit I always hoped it would happen with 'us', I even had the names picked out" He admitted sheepishly
