"But she wants to have them with Cross. That's kind of a bitchy move, if you ask me. Considering they haven't been together that long."

"We aren't much to talk. But that isn't what bothers me. It feels like I was nothing more then a friend with benefits... What a fool I am..."

"We're... a little different. And I'm not judging her, just saying it's kind of cruel of her to suddenly decide she does want kids when she apparently didn't want them before. I mean, I wasn't a fan of the idea either until we did that imagination exercise... but even if we hadn't done that, I might have gotten pregnant anyway, which would have changed my mind pretty quick."

He sighed. "Feels like she didn't love me as much as I loved er..."

"I hate to say it, but maybe she didn't." She crossed the room and sat down next to him on the couch, gently placing her hand on his face and turning his head so that he'd look at her. "And if she didn't, does it matter now?"

"In the grand plan of things no. But it doesn't help with what I am feeling. Like I was cheated or something..."

"Which is her failing, not yours. You can't blame yourself for how she acts."

Clio gave him an unamused look. "Don't be so melodramatic. You didn't see it because you loved her... the only way you'd have seen it would be if you didn't love her."

He returned the look she had right back at her. "That makes no sense."

She sighed at him, trying not to let his emotional ineptitude be so irritating. "Love is blind. Do you know why people say that?"

"No. You're being too literal. It has nothing to do with love having eyes or not."

"Does anyone really understand that? It's an abstract concept... doesn't obey the laws of logic." She paused, mentally gathering the right words for what she wanted to say. "It means that loving someone can stop you from noticing their flaws or that they're not quite as in love with you as you are with them. Or you might still see but you choose to ignore it." She grinned a little. "Like right now. I love you, but I also kind of want to smack you in the head and call you a dummy."
