[more great images found at the official wii website]

Publisher: Nintendo
Expected Release Date: Unknown

Overview: Image for a moment that your in a baseball stadium... it's the bottom of the 9th with 3 balls and 2 strikes with bases loaded and the game tied 1-1 and your up to bat. With the pitch narrowing in quickly you notice it's curving fast and you extend your reach to the bottom right of the plate and swing the hardest you can... and then... the crowd screams as you run the bases and make your way to homeplate while the marquee is flashing "HOME RUN". Now... imagine yourself actually able to do what you just thought of doing but in your own home. That's right, you get to play baseball with the controller by swinging and throwing your arm for batting and pitching. Tennis games will allow you to swing a racket and hit the ball a particular speed at your opponet right where you want it. Make sure you perfect that swing for golf !

I love baseball so I'll play that one the most. Golf should be great. Tennis will be fun if my wife plays with me.

Im really not big on sports games (unless tony hawk and SSX count) but Madden 07 for the Wii looks interesting. All because of the control.

Just think, fishing games will actually be enjoyable. But I've been thinking, wouldn't the fact that you have to swing the controller become old/annoying?

Im not as worried about swinging the controller getting old if the time it takes to catch a fish in the game is anything near what it really is.

Yea, but what if you're playing baseball and just don't feel like swinging the controller. It's cool, but in a month it will be old and annoying. I just hope you can change it to a normal controller set-up.

Well the point of the Wii is for people to have a different way to play games. If you don't enjoy actually swinging a bat when playing, your not only lazy, but you wasted money on the Wii.

This will help get those fat 13 year olds off the chair, and moving around.

*Shrug* I'm not bothered by the idea of actually 'interacting' with the game itself, it seems awesome to me. Especially sports games.
But this coming from your average, athletic, gamer, doesn't sound weird.
I stay active and stuff, but still love video games all the same.

My dad says I'm to lazy....coming from the guy who sits at a desk at work, comes home, grabs a bag of chips, and watches the game. *Sigh*
But this sounds awesome to me. Practice sports while it's raining, without having to go outside sounds helpful to me :d
