Ubisoft just announced that 'Red Steel' will not be using the controller to perform free-form sword functions during game play. In the same report it was stated that the concept of the free-form sword function was simply a rumor and was never officially announced, at least not yet. When contacted, Ubisoft representative Michael Beadle remained vague. "Yes, the dev team is continuing to 'tweak/adjust' the controls," he said, promising more information about the matter would be forthcoming, but the game "is a launch title and more details about the controls will be revealed at a later date." *1 Footnote(s): 1. source "www.news4gamers.com" |

Well this doesn't sound to good for people like me. I would love swinging that controller around and seeing it move the same on scree. Now if I understand correctley there will only be set movements for the sword :( |

I don't think we'll see 1:1 games till a lot later (apart from Wii Sports). I just can't wait for a Star Wars game where you can control the saber! |

I agree it would also get people up off the chair and movng around getting "more" involved with the game |
